National Legislation

In Lithuania, the protection of cultural heritage is based on Articles 42, 47 and 54 of the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania. Objects of cultural heritage shall be protected in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Immovable Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Lithuania, the Law on the Protection of Movable Cultural Property of the Republic of Lithuania, the Law on Protected Areas of the Republic of Lithuania, the Law on Territorial Planning of the Republic of Lithuania, and other laws and legal acts.
