The Register of Cultural Property
The Register of Cultural Property is a register where data on immovable and movable cultural property stored in Lithuania are accumulated.
Immovable cultural property is registered in the Register of Cultural Property after the Evaluation Board (specialized boards composed of experts in various fields such as history, green plantations, archaeology, arts, sacred, engineering, architectural, urban planning heritage protection) has decides that the property needs protection. Such property values are registered as individual, complex, or integrated cultural heritage objects or sites of high scientific, historical or cultural significance.
Movable cultural heritage objects are recorded in the Register of Cultural property by order of the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania.
The following data shall be entered in the Register of Cultural Property when a cultural heritage object is included in the Register of Cultural Property:
1) the name of the immovable cultural property, its unique code, address;
2) the valuable properties and the boundaries of the territory to be protected together with the property, as determined by the act(s) of the Evaluation Board.
